About

tebaThe phrase “The Content of Character” probably sounds very familiar to you.  It comes from a very popular quote from a very inspirational leader.  On August 28th, 1963, on the National Mall in Washington DC, Martin Luther King, Jr gave a speech that would create a vision of change for a whole nation.

He famously said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

The content of one’s character is defined by the decisions he or she takes in challenging times.  After all, our lives are all about the decisions we make: what school to attend, who to marry, what faith to follow.  It’s a constant cycle of understanding learning and changing to be our better selves.

My writing is meant to help create men and women of character.  I may have views that are at times a bit different than the norm but believe me, my purpose is always to educate for the betterment of our individual state and the overall community.

A little about me…I’ve lived in the DC area for a good portion of my life, but I’ve traveled and lived in several different countries.  I got my bachelors from University of Maryland in Economics and my MBA in Finance from Howard University.  I currently work as a consultant to professional organizations and government agencies.  I live in Maryland with my beautiful wife (she writes too, feel free to check out her blogs at www.sassandsubstance.com). I’m a Christian man with a passion for working with the youth of today. I’m a son, a brother and a friend, you are welcome to ask me any questions at www.thecontentofcharacter@gmail.com.

On another note, the views I share are not meant as a professional prescription, they are simply my opinions.  I appreciate you reading and I look forward to your feedback.
